Group Life Insurance Plan
for Your Association
We know your community has many goals and that the financial security of your families is right at the top of the list.
Learn MoreWe sadly lost a very beloved and wonderful student from our community. He went with his high school friends to the ocean on an authorized skip day where he drowned in deep water. The Children’s rider from our Zambian Group Life Insurance Plan was very helpful to the family and our community in meeting the financial responsibilities of bereavement. We are grateful that this group life insurance is available for times of need.
Cultural Benefits Insurance has been one of the best things that has ever happened to my community and other immigrant communities nationwide. As a community leader, one thing has been checked off my “worry ” list when we have a funeral. My community feels safe knowing that they have enough money to bury them when they pass on. I am so grateful for the awesome professionalism that Cultural Benefits Insurance team has rendered us since we got our policy. The policy was well explained and well customized to suit our folks hence the reason why it was easy to sell the idea to my community. Hope to see some expansions to cater for the seniors.
Created in 2006, the Association of Zambians in Seattle, Washington (AZISWA) is a fully registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization based in the Seattle Metropolitan area. Our founding principles are aimed at supporting communities at the grassroots level in the fight against such everyday challenges as hunger, poverty and homelessness, and in the promotion of health and education.
In our effort to provide financial security and comfort for our community members during the death of a community member, with the default next step for many communities being asking for financial donations, AZISWA established two Cultural Group Insurance Life Plans. The first Plan, with a guaranteed issue coverage amount of $25,000, was established in 2014 and a second Plan, with a guaranteed issue coverage amount of $10,000, was established in 2021.
Sadly, our community has lost a couple of beloved members to death since 2014. Thankfully, they were both covered in one or the other of our Plans and it was a huge financial relief not only for their family members they left behind but for the entire community as well. What that means is that we did not have to ask community members for financial contributions towards the funeral. Instead, we committed the time we could have been using to call for contributions to the wonderful memory and celebration of life of the dearly departed. Not only that, our Plans have attracted new members and strengthened and encouraged cooperation within the community. None of this could have happened without having Cultural Group Benefits as our Insurance Broker and Plan Administrator, for which AZISWA is grateful.
